Education for Deaf Students in NSW Schools

PUBLIC SCHOOLS 

Some NSW Public Primary and High Schools have Hearing Support Units 

Itinerant support teachers hearing
Itinerant support teachers hearing, IST(H), are specialists with training in the education of deaf students and offer support to the staff of the local school, the students and the parents or caregivers. Students can be supported by their IST(H) from the time of identification of their hearing loss through to Year 12.
